Operation Blessing teams up with The Cheesecake Factory

OKLAHOMA – Recently, Operation Blessing teams in Moore, Okla., received a call requesting help for a family whose home was in danger of falling into a river swollen with rain and littered with debris from two massive tornadoes. The water had flooded the river’s banks and erosion soon claimed one outbuilding and threatened a barn and guest house. The main house was also at risk of collapsing. Sowing seeds and reaping hope

MOLI, Niger – It’s hard to imagine suddenly losing everything you own—especially when your livelihood and survival depends on it.

When floodwaters hit the village of Moli in Niger, families lost everything: their home, cattle, and crops.

Children in Japan receive help after the earthquake and tsunami.

FUKUSHIMA, Japan – When most parents are encouraging their children to go outside and play, families in Fukushima are suggesting the exact opposite.

Following the devastating tsunami in 2011, the community suffered another blow when the local nuclear power plant was crippled in the disaster. Christmas for a Sandy-devastated community

BREEZY POINT, NY – Operation Blessing linked arms with Breezy Point Co-op to make their annual Christmas Tree Lighting extra special and take it to the next level! This was the first traditional community gathering that has taken place since Superstorm Sandy devastated this community, making it especially memorable.

Operation Blessing constructed large tents l that we affectionately called “Santa’s Workshop.” All week OBI staff assembled shelves and stocked them with more than 3,000 toys that had been donated from all across America. Continue reading Christmas for a Sandy-devastated community

A Christmas celebration for Breezy Point

Christmas for Breezy Point, New York.

BREEZY POINT, New York – We had a wonderful day with the residents of Breezy Point hosting a beautiful Christmas lunch featuring The Irish Tenors. We made an extra effort to create an elegant and joyful atmosphere as we setup round banquet tables with white linens and red overlays, beautiful fresh floral Christmas centerpieces, and bottles of sparkling grape juice.

When the residents walked in and saw their community center decorated so elegantly and heard the Christmas music playing, they were overwhelmed with emotion to see something so beautiful created just for them. Relief for quake victims in Guatemala

Relief supplies for earthquake victims in Guatemala.

SAN MARCOS, Guatemala – Within 24 hours of a destructive 7.4-magnitude quake in Guatemala, Operation Blessing teams are bringing critical relief to victims.
