Kumar Periasamy
Kumar Periasamy serves as the Director for International Operations and Programs at Operation Blessing International.
He first joined OBI’s Outreach Division in 1998 where he served as a regional manager, and then in 2000 transitioned to CBN WorldReach as Deputy Director for Asia Operations. In 2002, he moved to Hyderabad, India, to assume the additional responsibility of being the regional country director of India for WorldReach and Operation Blessing, where he coordinated efforts that benefited an average of 30,000 people each month with clean water, medical treatment and disaster relief.
Kumar has participated in a number of critical OBI disaster relief operations, particularly in Afghanistan and Iraq (war relief), as well as helped coordinate teams from OB India to help survivors of the Southeast Asia tsunamis both on India’s coast and in Sri Lanka. He relocated to OBI’s international headquarters in Virginia in 2007 to head up OBI’s response to disasters worldwide.
Kumar was born and raised in Singapore and graduated from Regent University with a Masters in Business. He is married to his wife Smita and they have a daughter, Manisha.
